Books Gallor

One of the biggest things that I really get into is books. I often times have a ton of different books sitting on the coffee table to read at night when I am not thinking about my next drawing or painting. And I find that a lot of books that I have a specific to what I am working on. It can be anything from painting an animal or even needing an answer about color theory. But I often find that I go back and look at things over and over.

My bookshelf

Old books are not bad books

So I often buy a lot of older books. Older books are a treasure trove of information, I even recently bought the Famous Artists School course even though it’s 60 years old it still have a treasure trove of information. These books offer several different things that allow different takes on everything from drawing to color theory. Sometimes they are often a more text than image they still help me through tough times when painting or drawing. Below are some of the best books that are older than me

I broke the books into a couple of categories, Drawing, Painting, Digital Painting, Techniques and Pose References. These should be enough to get you started on your creative journey.
